"Dixie" or "Delta"

It's Taxiway "Dixie" instead of "Delta" in CVG.

MKE to CVG was my first leg on captain IOE. Using "Dixie" instead of "Delta" confused the hell out of me!

I remember asking my training captain, "Ok, follow the Mad Dog on Dixie to spot what? Wait, Mad Dog, Dixie? What?! Dammit, should I ask for a progressive?"

Well atleast you have only the one person laughing at you in the cockpit. I get to fly into all of these new a strange places by myself. So I have to ask ATC, to clarify/verify/and all that good stuff.

Sometimes I feel that everyone on frequency is giving me one of these.

When I'm reading back the controller giving me a clearance reading "Right on Bravo, Left on Delta, Left on November, Right on Charlie, Hold short of 36L, monitor tower on 118.65 for further taxi instructions"

Me "uhhhhh say again?"
