Alaska Airlines Seattle, Washington:<BR />Role Summary&lt;br /&gt;The Dispatcher leads the safe conduct of operational control concerning the planning, dispatch, release, and movement of all Company aircraft over the routes under their control.&lt;br /&gt;Scope &amp;amp; Complexity&lt;br /&gt;This individual contributor role performs dispatch duties for Alaska Airlines.&lt;br /&gt;Key Duties&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;li&gt;Briefs crews during preflight and updates as necessary in regard to current weather, Notice to Airman (NOTAMS), and field conditions.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;li&gt;Distributes flight plans and flight releases, rerouting flight as necessary, and calculating appropriate fuel loads.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;li&gt;Coordinates with maintenance department in regard to maintenance and Minimum Equipment List (MELs) following flights.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;li&gt;Executes all assigned flight operations in compliance with Federal Air Regulation (FARs) and Company policy and procedures.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;li&gt;Ensures the information necessary to perform flight dispatch duties is available and current at the start of each shift.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;li&gt;Other duties as assigned.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
