Medical, dental, vision, company paid life insurance, 401K with company match, employee assistance program and more!</p> <p style"margin-left:0in; margin-right:0in"><u>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</u></p> <p style"margin-left:0in; margin-right:0in">&nbsp;</p> <p style"margin-left:0in; margin-right:0in">The Dispatcher/Flight Follower, together with the Captain, is responsible for flight movements and flight operations. Duties shall include but are not limited to the following:</p> <p style"margin-left:0in; margin-right:0in">&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Conduct all flight operations assigned in accordance with company and FAA regulations, and procedures</li> </ul> <ul style"list-style-type:circle"> <li>Normally cover individual flight planning, releases, flight monitoring, weather, and operational advisory services</li> </ul> <ul> <li>The Dispatcher/Flight Follower will also review and include any pertinent Minimum Equipment List (MEL) and Configuration Deviation List (CDL) restrictions, and/or information on the flight plan</li> </ul> <ul style"list-style-type:circle"> <li>OAI maintenance is responsible for ensuring the current MEL/CDL information for all OAI aircraft are provided to Dispatchers every shift change, or after any significant update, and that the CDL is displayed in a conspicuous location within the dispatch facility for easy reference by Operations Control personnel</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Upon reporting for duty, check Dispatch Must Read File for any new memorandum that may affect policy or flight planning</li> </ul> <ul style"list-style-type:circle"> <li>After reading and reviewing, initial memo to acknowledge it has been read and understood</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Monitor flights for fuel burn based on position reports, and notify flight crew in event the fuel onboard is less than the required amount to complete the flight without using reserve fuel</li> <li>Upon reporting for duty and continuously during duty period: make a careful check, monitor, and analyze weather conditions over regular and alternate routes, changes in the route navigational facilities, field conditions, inoperative navigational facilities, and two-way communications (ground stations)</li> </ul> <ul style"list-style-type:circle"> <li>After the flight has departed, and enroute, the Dispatcher/Flight Follower will monitor enroute weather conditions as well as weather at destination and alternate airport, and Notices to Airmen (NOTAMS) for changes during the flight</li> <li>Remain on duty until each airplane dispatched by him or her has completed its flight, or until relieved by another licensed Dispatcher/Flight Follower or the Director of Operations</li> <li>Maintain a Daily Log (OPS-146) of his or her shift on duty</li> <li>Log will contain all flight numbers of Omni Air International flights under his or her control/monitoring and all information necessary to complete the daily operations summary, delays, cancelled flights, and re-routings</li> <li>Keep other operational information pertaining to the operations, and action taken by the Dispatcher/Flight Follower involved</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Should an emergency arise during flight that requires immediate decision and action by appropriate management personnel, the Dispatcher shall ascertain the decision of the pilot in command, and record that decision on the Daily Log; if they cannot communicate with the pilot, they shall declare an emergency and take any action that they consider necessary under the circumstances</li> <li>In arriving at decisions relating to flight movements, originations, cancellations, or consolidations, the Dispatcher/Flight Follower shall consider:</li> </ul> <ul style"list-style-type:circle; margin-left:40px"> <li>Safety</li> <li>Minimum of discomfort, delay, and inconvenience for passengers, mail, or revenue cargo.</li> <li>Subsequent originations or movements of other flights.</li> <li>Position of crews and equipment for protection of other flights.</li> <li>Maintenance department&rsquo;s requirements for aircraft routing or necessary inspections and checks of aircraft.</li> <li>Minimum ferry mileage.</li> <li>Elimination of flight movements into extensive bad weather areas, which might tie up aircraft or crews for a considerable time</li> </ul>
