Bailey Helicopters Ltd Fort St John, British Columbia:<BR /><p><strong>OPERATIONAL FLIGHT WATCH SUPERVISOR</strong></p> <p><strong>Description</strong></p> <p>Bailey Helicopters is seeking an Operational Flight Watch Supervisor in our Dispatch Department. This position is based in Fort St. John. Flight dispatchers frequently work under pressure in a fast-paced environment especially when flying weather is poor. They are surrounded by employees, customers, telephones, and intercom systems in a noisy, busy atmosphere and carry on the duties of a meteorologist and schedule coordinator. The dispatcher maintains a constant watch on all flights dispatched and may need to relay information as needed to employees in the field. The Flight Watch Supervisor will work Monday to Friday, and may be required to work some nights, weekends and holidays on an as needed basis.</p> <table> <tbody> <tr> <td width="312"> <p>Status</p> <p>Permanent</p> </td> <td width="312"> <p>Location</p> <p>Fort St. John, BC</p> </td> </tr> </tbody> </table> <p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Supervision and scheduling of ground crew</li> <li>Flight Following and monitor progress of ALL company flights, from departure to landings until aircraft is down and clear</li> <li>Take aircraft bookings and ensure passenger manifest</li> <li>Confirm booking details with clients and pilots, updating any trip information as required</li> <li>Ensure that pilots meet all client requirements and standards (e.g., Contrail Aviation duty times, hours, etc.)</li> <li>Actively support and participate in the Company Safety Management System (SMS) program</li> <li>Provide clients with aircraft quotes in consultation with the Operations Manager</li> <li>Track and file all company Flight Itineraries and Flight Risk Assessments</li> <li>Maintain and store all fuel records for Quality Assurance purposes</li> <li>Ordering fuel for bowsers in consultation with the Operations Manager</li> <li>Provide support to field staff for all field related issues (e.g., fuel cache tracking, hotels, rental vehicles, etc.)</li> <li>Dispatch all aircrew for flights</li> <li>Take medevac site registrations</li> <li>Manage and maintain operational equipment</li> <li>Complete weekly aircraft status for Operations Manager</li> <li>Work in direct contact with the Operations Manager, Chief Pilot and Director of Maintenance for dispatch of aircraft and aircrew</li> <li>Responsible for activating Emergency Response Procedures in cases of emergency</li> </ul> <p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Provide thorough weather briefing to all aircrew, report changes as required; monitor for significant changes and relay, as needed</li> <li>Update customer monitored websites daily with accurate pilot and aircraft information</li> <li>Maintain working knowledge of all company aircraft and equipment limitations for dispatching purposes</li> <li>Maintain annual currency in company dispatch through company training</li> <li>Complete administration tasks such as: answering phones, photocopying, filing, faxing, etc.</li> <li>Assist in ensuring aircraft, hangar and vehicle cleanliness</li> <li>Other duties, as required</li> </ul>
