Does having a commercial certificate or CFI ratings speed up getting a dispatcher certificate? or do you still need to take the six week class?

It just depends on the school. Some places offer an accelerated course for those with prior industry experience. However you do generally get some benefit if you have time for the full course...there is a lot of information to learn in a short time, no matter which length of course you take.
