Discovery Wings Rumor

It was brought to my attention by my friend that the Discovery Wings channel will be swiched to the Discovery Military channel, in July. Does anybody know if this is just a rumor or is this true?

If it is true I will be disappionted. Discovery Wings is one of my favorite channels.
 
well I doubt you'll lose any of the regular wings programs, they just won't be repeated several times a week, instead get to see some other militay marvels on there as well. As long as new content is gained and none lost, seems like a good change to me.
 
While I agree that there are too many repeated programs on Wings, I can't say a that I want to see programs about guns and tanks etc. The draw of Wings was that it was focused on aviation. I'll be dropping the channel package once the change is in effect. They would have been far better off showing a wider spectrum of aviation programs and documentries.

Thats the thing. Theres not to many aviation programs and documentries to chose from. Also does anyone know if they will still be showing Airport? I'm guessing not.
 
They say that every night they will air "Wingspan" which is basically a condesed version of the original Wings channel.
