This position is responsible for leading all aspects of the Aviation Safety Program in the 4-year collegiate aviation program at Rocky Mountain College in Billings, Montana. Flight Operations is located at the BillingsAirport. Responsibilities include: training, meetings, inspections and audits, the Safety Committee, relationships with FAA, and incident/accident investigation. This position also leads all aspects of the flight simulator program including instruction, training of other simulator personnel, syllabus development, simulator acquisition and repair. Is a member of the Aviation Review Board assisting in overall direction of the Aviation Program. Coordinates training at Flight Operations with simulator training and aids in the development of Flight Operations policies and curriculum and professional growth of flight instructors. Flying as a CFI is possible.
