Ding Dong the witch is dead

So I hear the Director of Training finally got fired the other day. I have never have never met a person that calls you in before your checkride and looks at your 8710 for an hour. Then gives the stamp of approval. I think if they keep weeding out upper management the school might actually be worth it. I think they need a consultant.

Yup, it's true. I saw it with my own eyes yesterday. Mr Murphy was bringing in boxes and cleaning out his office yesterday. He must have f'd up big time! He never gave me any hassles. Had a couple of conversations, seemed like a really nice guy.

Whoah, Patrick got axed? Or he was just cleaning the office?

I always thought he was one of the few management assets....

[/ QUOTE ]That's what I thought too.. esp with him being on the board here and answering DCA's important questions..wonder whose going to take that roll now and are they going to be as "forthright" with information at Patrick (yankeeone) was?

Oh and Patrick, that doesn't mean you have to leave the boards!

I just hope it wasn't due to his recent surgery....that would just be wrong on SO many levels!!

Pat Murphy is not yankeeone. Although I did see Murphy post on here from time to time in the past but under his actual name.

okay guess I can come out of the shadows for a momment. My surgery seems to have gone pretty good so far, other than learning I was allergic to Moriphine the hard way. I haven't been to work since mid March so I don't know whats going on, but I am Frank not Pat Murphy. I have no idea whats going on over there, when I get back, sometime in June, and I learn anything I'll let y'all know.

Hard to believe Mr. Murphy is gone, he seemed to be very knowledgeable and on top of things wheni was there. I can think of a few other people that id have given the boot too!

Well, I appreciate the nice comments, and would ask that others that are pure speculation cease. The "ding dong the witch is dead" is cute, but I could spot a defective 8710 in just a couple of minutes of time not an hour.

I am no longer employed by DCA. And that will be my last comment on the subject.

I'll continue to lurk here as I have done for years. And even comment when the spirit strikes!

Frank: Hope you get well soon!

Pat Murphy

Pat,

There has been a lot of speculation amongst instructors as to what happened, and it has been kept VERY quiet by admin. No announcement has been made, email or anything. I know you don' t really want to discuss this or maybe you can't, but it is alarming to me as an instructor as to the state of things at DCA when the director of training is mysteriously gone.
Whether you reply to this or not, I can say a lot of us feel sorry that you are gone, and I wish you nothing but the best in the future.

Mr Murphy, I'm sorry for your unfortunate event and wish you good luck in your future endeavors. DCA benefitted so much during your tenure.

Pat, best of luck! I don't know the circumstances of you being gone, and I don't really think it is any of my business, but from what I could see you did a great job at DCA and you will be a valuable part of whichever organization you wind up with next. Keep lurking and keep us informed of what you are doing.

Phil

Hey Pat, just to make sure, you're the guy who I met when I was ordering the "Ham Egg and Cheese with No Egg" at Charlies for breakfast a few months ago in ATL?
