somewhere that's offsite???

we've got 316 lurkers right now (1pm) all looking at the same thread...if the lurkdom increases, it could really affect bandwidth and cost of the site...

we're not gonna beat ya upside the head with the "user be good" stick, but we just want the link to be taken down so that it doesn't affect us as much as it could...

edit: ok.. make that 355 lurkers and the sites starting to slow down (& doug's out of the house right now... aieeeee carumba!)

If people put "Hurricane Francis" into Google, will it pull up the "Francis" thread here on JC?

yea if you go to goggle and type in "Hurricane Francis" and click on "Im feeling lucky" it will take you directly to the thread.

What made me think of that was because I put my name into Google to see what it would pull up and (once I got past all the crap about the porn star who shares my name) my perspective on JC was the only thing that showed up.

actually.. just got off the phone with doug.. he's laffing his head off (finds it so amusing)! he doesn't think it'll be a big deal.. probably thinks the website sponsors are LOVIN it... and when he gets back (about 10 mins), he's gonna put a little welcome message in there for our new lurker friends! hahahaha

i guess it is kindof amusing and definately spices up our day huh?!
