DHL drops US network bombshell

DHL is cutting 75% of flying. I'm at Wilmington right now using their -9 sim and they have notices around the building about what to expect if you lose your job.

Not quite. Compass is hiring. Not that I would go there. Too unstable for my taste.

For some reason I got the gist that UPS was just consolodating the work onto their current route structure without hiring much people or adding aircraft....

SkyWest is supposedly hiring in June.


That really sucks to hear about the DHL stuff. And I always thought that flying on the cargo side of this industry was more stable. Nobody is safe.

Not what I heard being talked about in SDF. Folks were saying it should open the opportunity to hire new guys and pull 8's out of the desert. Granted this is strictly people's personal opinions up there but thats just what is being said up there...
 
I'm sure they have to add structure here and their, but for the most part the extra work shouldn't cause them to have a mass hiring/expansion.
