I'll be in DFW for recurrent Feb 11-19. So, Kelvin, Steve, and whoever else, let me know if you wanna grab some grub sometime!

The bennigans by grapevine mills always seems to be filled with people in recurrent. Everytime i go there I always meet pilots...I think its the cheap beer...but maybe thats just me.

Ok, I'm being dropped off at FTW Friday morning and I'll be in town until Sunday the 19th...staying near Grapevine Mills. I was thinking about a group thing at a restaurant somewhere...unless anyone has something else they'd like to do...or nothing at all...

Kelvin, I lost your number after 2 moves...will you PM it to me again?

Dallas/Ft. Worth Friday Feb. 17

What does everyone think about Joe T. Garcias in the Stockyards on Friday? Eat some mexican and drink some margaritas. Anyone have any other ideas??

What time? And has anyone gotten a reservation. And please bring cash because they don't take credit or debit. They do have a credit card machine around front though.

How about 7ish on Friday? Who's all in? Should I post this elsewhere to get more exposure?

I'm in. Just for FYI...... I think the magirita specials run about 8 bucks a piece and the meal is going to run you about 16 bucks or so. If you can drink more than two of the magirita specials without feeling it, I'll give you props.

Just found out I've got a student at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday so I won't be able to really get hammered, but I think Steve and Brett are both down for hanging out.

So how does this place work? I've never been...

Well you drive up to this building that looks like a shack only to walk in through the side and to see that it is actually pretty large. There is an outside dining area aligned by buildings to eat inside. The last time I went, we had a reservation. If we had not had a reservation there was a line of 30 people we would have been standing behind. Don't expect a huge selection. You can either the fajita or enchilada meals. I could not finish my meal last time!

BTW JH

The weather is supposed to be crappy Saturday.;)

So reservations for 7? 8?

PM me if you plan on attending so I can get the reservations lined up. :)

I'm down, and I think Austin (Pfactor8) and one of my students will probably be tagging along, too. After that, we're gonna hit some place in downtown Ft Worth that's doing this big Guiness thing. Yeah, I think the weather on Sat might be cx'ling my flights. :)

It's on Main Street just east of the Stock Yards. From driving west to east, you will see rather unusual building (Wells Fargo Bank) after passing the Stock Yard area. At the street the the restaurant is located on, there is a sign that is about 1X6 and shaped like an arrow if I remember correctly. Take a left at the sign. This turn should be well before you are going up the bridge heading into downtown. The restaurant looks to be shabby from the outside and there is usually and long line of people outside of it. And you are going to have to get in where you fit in with the parking. I hope this helps.
