DFW-DEN: Which Airline?

They all cost around $200 round trip, so which is the preferred airline of JC out of the 3?

AA: I have flown on AA a few times, seems good enough.

Frontier: I have flown this route before. They have a nice Airbus with TV
screens and comfy chairs.

UAL: Never flown them

I'll probably go with Frontier, but what are your opinions?

Had a nice flight MCI-DEN on United. Upgraded to First, very comfortable, and they flew a 757.

I also had a nice flight MCI-DEN on Frontier.

My choice would be:

  1. UAL (if the equipment is a Boeing)
  2. Frontier (because I am a rabid nationalist and do not want to support airlines that only buy from the stinky French).
  3. Drive...across TX, OK, KS and CO...in a car with no air conditioning and a smell that nobody can figure out or remove.
  4. Greyhound
  5. Hitchhike
  6. Walk
  7. American

'Merican has always got me home. And when they haven't, it's been because of weather (Thunderstorms in DFW or snow in ORD).

Wow, really hate American, huh? LOL. Driving is out of the question. I liked Frontier's A319 quite a bit. Not sure what United will be flying.

DFW-DEN is a relatively short flight, and being from Denver I have flown United many times and never had a bad experience. I would take United unless the flight was on United Express. The only reason why I didn't fly Frontier more often was for the frequent flier miles on United.

Commercial air travel is such a steaming pile any more that your question read kind of like "Which VD would you rather have, Syphilis or Gonorrhea?"

But yes, I really hate American.

I am for, if not full regulation, certainly a drastic increase in ticket prices. My motivation for that is different than most on the forum...it is purely selfish. I want flights to be less full, and I want to passengers to be people that have paid dearly for the privilege of flying to their destination. I want to to return to being a somewhat elite way to travel and I want people that should inhabit Greyhound to return to that mode of travel. I want people to wear shoes and socks on the airplane. I don't want people wearing short pants on the airplane. I want clean airplanes. I want lots of things.

I'm not the biggest American fan either.

My list:
Frontier, SWA (even though it's DAL), UAL, bunch more stuff, American
and SWA might even jump Frontier, but since you said DFW I'll let it be second.

Nothing wrong w/ a selfish thought. I would like to see that too, especially since if they kept the standby passes so I wouldn't have to pay a higher fair. Unfortunately I see the airlines becoming more and more of a faster bus, I'm almost shocked Greyhound hasn't opened an airline division (jk). That's probably one of the main reasons I want to be corporate, where the people on the plane are still somewhat respectful.

My family always dresses nicely to travel. That is why I hate some budget carriers as I feel every time one of their airplanes takes off, a trailer park is empty. I am also deeply depressed of late that my Delta Platinum Medallion has expired.

Actually there was a thread on here once where corporate pilots, Frax, and charter guys were going off about how rude some of there pax were, and how nasty they left the airplane. I just figure, people are going to suck anyway - rich or poor - so I would rather be stuck around well dressed, non-smelly people that suck than some guy in a t-shirt and sandels that hasn't showered in a week that suck.

If Doug liked you at all he would fix that for you.

One time I flew Air Tran. I let Todd (PCL/ATN) know that I was going to be flying them and what flights. He worked it out so that I could upgrade to First for only $85 per trip segment and I got a free snack and soda. Nothing was said about Todd "pulling strings", but I am certain that he must have.

At We gougeemandhow Airways, one of the first lessons we are going to teach our gate agents is how to say "No way you are getting on the plane looking and smelling like you do you effing pig".

Good job "outing" him. Now he's going to have the unit cost of a snack and a soda garnished from his paycheck. All because of YOU.

:D

Is Coach class equivilent to "steerage" class found on cruise ships?

No, because in steerage - in the event you hit an iceberg, you were locked below until the upper class travelers could make their way to safety...as it should be.

Not sure how such a system could be devised for a survivable airplane wreck, but I'd be all for it!

netjets
flexjet
citation shares
flight options

the top three being in no particular order. the bottom one is where it should be.
