DFW Control Errors

Anyone see the story on NBC evening news tonight? If not, here's a link to the Dallas Morning News story. Apparently, some controllers are coming forward to say that ATC management is covering up controller error and blaming pilots for their mistakes.

Not surprised. It is actually a tactic out of the FAA Managers handbook. Blame pilots, so the Agency doesn't have to hire more controllers.

How well do you think someone who has to work 10 hours a day, 6 days a week, in an environment such as ATC (minus a VFR Tower) is going to perform? The guys can only do as well as they can, especially while working for an administration that - much like pilots - doesn't respect the work they do.

I saw it...the DFW TRACON is the most understaffed radar facility in the country according to a reliable source.

They still do AMAZING work. But they love those airliners.
