Determine Pressure altitude without setting altimeter 29.92?

How do you determine pressure altitude without setting the altimeter to 29.92 (such as a remote airport for flight planing in performance charts)? I heard the E6B can do it, but I don't see how you can use OAT and altimeter setting (such as ATIS/AWOS) to get the pressure alt.?

(29.92-ambient pressure)x1000

Then add that to field elevation.

Thanks all, I guess I didn't realize the 1" per 1,000 ft. If I think of it as if i were sitting in the plane with the current altimeter setting with field elevation showing, I can think of how much it'd change by turning the altimeter up to 29.92 (or down).
