That's not universal. Both places I've worked have specific language in the FOM that says the exact opposite.

FAA min staffing is 1 FA per 50 seats. Many operations run fat of that for service reasons (and so they can lose an FA mid trip for some reason and still complete the next flight). That said, Spirit, being on the lower end of things as far as operating costs go, probably doesn't run with an extra FA.

That's all irrelevant if the plane wasn't actually boarding though.

Our FOM, news to tell??? If @ATN_Pilot wants to come to SKW I'll write a LoR. Just know you can wear the hat w/o the blazer. BTW check your PM's.
 
For clarity, I mean we have minimum staffing in effect for operating the airplane with passengers and minimum staffing onboard during "through" flights on the ground. Not sure how to write that as my beer low light is on.

Pretty sure this happened because it was in ORD. The airport police/TSA there could give lessons to the SS.

We actually saw a group of them a few weeks ago marching in unison holding a flag. Like a color guard. I'll have to find the video we took. Check whatsapp.
