I had the SAME problem. It took me around 8 Months to get my 3rd Class Medical Certificate for a Private Pilot. I was on Lexapro when I was a child for OCD, and I was on a VERY, VERY small Dosage (to prevent the OCD from returning) when I was training. I went to get my Med. Cert. and got denied because of it... I then had to go off of the Medication for 90 days, see my Doctor, have him write a letter, have my Flight instructor right a letter, and so on. I then sent that stuff in with a small transcript of my Medical History... that wasn't good enough, so I had to send more information... still not enough, and I think after 3-4 tries I finally had my whole medical history up to every blink of an eye sent in. Then I finally recieved a letter in the mail, and a paper with my Medical Certificate. I think my case was pushed to the bottom of the pile every time I had to keep sending stuff in again which is why it was so lengthy... but it was my fault.
I'm NOT trying to discourage you but chances are you wont get in with any medication--GO on the Medication if you feel the need to, maybe go on it for a while till your "better" and feel like you can do without it. If you have been on any sort of medication before, or do go on this then I suggest when it comes down to it you'd better just copy your whole medical history, and get those letters from Doctors etc. It will save time...
