I don't know what SouthJet Air has for a scope clause, but considering that the DC-9 is the original 'regional jet'.....

Concerning the 'realistic details', my first thought when I saw the meeting with the attorney was, "good thing he's ALPA"!
 
Of course he's wearing sunglasses indoors. How else is he going to hide those bloodshot eyes?

I was going to commit to watching it until I saw Denzel - playing a Captain - appear to be doing a walk-around in the rain.
 
I have a captain who always does the walk around here. So this way if something minor is found, he doesn't say anything about it so we continue on. Maybe Denzel is the same way, and he ignored the huge pile of hydraulic fluid on the ground?

He thought it was double rainbow rain on the ground.
 
Just saw the trailer to this in the theater today. Although were usually pretty letdown with most aviation movies this one seems to have some potential...



Looks like it incorporates elements of the Alaska Airlines 261, United 232, and of course USAirways 1549 in the Hudson River and a drinking problem...

Think it will be worth the 10 bucks?

I dont know how I feel about the movie or its trailer, but I sure liked the Mr Rogers video liked at the end of the youtube video above.
