Denzel Washingtons new movie - Flight

We had a pilot (who is no longer here, but because of this) who rolled the Jball (I think... see the attached picture), D328, the CRJ200 and CRJ700. Granted, none of them are heavy iron, but they are certainly "airliners". Not to mention Tex Johnston rolling the 707 over

Yes, most definitely just a sarcastic comment.

Of course, as the saying goes, 'there is no G limit on aircraft that will never fly again'!

There is, however, a negative-G limit on 57 year old alcoholics (however beautiful the ladies assure me he still is). One sort of imagines he might have mildly exceeded it...

I dont think you guys are seeing this right. This is art. The drunk pilot represents the self-destructive nature of the pilot population, drinking their own poison in an effort to achieve some imaginary high of "arriving" at some coveted pilot slot just over the horizon. Naked girl represents the seduction of SJS, she looks so tempting when just out of reach, but if you ever get your chance with her you realize the excitement was mostly in your head and you've been desiring something that's rather boring in reality. The violent and absurd crash, that just represents the airline industry in general.

What was so bad about it? I never had a chance to see it.

Well, "Pan Am" was a show that you watch like "Show Girls". If you watch it for the plot and take it too seriously, it's going to suck. But if you watch it after a couple of cocktails, primed to heckle, you'd have enjoyed it.

The show was dumb as hell, but it was a fun watch.

Doug: Hi, question for Ms. Bellamy. In episode 2F09, when Itchy plays Scratchy's skeleton like a xylophone, he strikes that same rib twice in succession yet he produces two clearly different tones. I mean, what are we, to believe that this is some sort of a, a magic xylophone or something? Boy, I really hope somebody got fired for that blunder.
June Bellamy: Uh, well, uh...
Homer: I'll field this one. Let me ask you a question. Why would a man whose shirt says "Genius at Work" spend all of his time watching a children's cartoon show?
Doug: I withdraw my question.

You gotta admit that Denzel looks pretty sharp. Like Doug Taylor had he taken the Mad Dog upgrade, and thus avoided all of that Belgian beer..
