Denzel Washingtons new movie - Flight

Well, the obvious problem here is that airliners can't go inverted.

We had a pilot (who is no longer here, but because of this) who rolled the Jball (I think... see the attached picture), D328, the CRJ200 and CRJ700. Granted, none of them are heavy iron, but they are certainly "airliners". Not to mention Tex Johnston rolling the 707 over Seattle.

Well, I certainly enjoyed the panicky F/O. Don't know why we even have those guys, they're useless.

Maybe he should have had a drink.

Captain, may I introduce your new copilot - Private William Hudson

They should have had Bill Paxton play the co-pilot... LOL

Despite Denzel's skillz, I'm thinking an inverted push to level from 15 degrees nose low at 230 knots to recover in 720 feet might exceed the DC-9 negative G limit.

Of course, as the saying goes, 'there is no G limit on aircraft that will never fly again'!
