@ATN_Pilot seen pitching in on his day off.

Yeah, we couldn't figure it out, either. Best theory we have is that those teams wouldn't pay SWA what they demanded, but who knows.

Most airlines that have a sports team themed livery actually pay the team for the right to paint up the plane real special like.

Planning to resign my seniority number, possibly by the end of the year, but definitely before the transition.
I'm sorry, who do work for? And, why would you do that!
Forgive me bro, I'm just asking because I don't fully understand how this industry works with you pilots and bidding different equipment!

I work for AirTran, in the process of merging with SWA. I'm voluntarily leaving because our seniority integration was so atrocious that I would spend the next decade commuting to the west coast, and I wouldn't upgrade for 20 years. Lots of our pilots are looking at leaving. Some already have.

Ah, gotcha! Makes sense now! I've heard that the merger and the seniority between you guys was a nightmare, (which I assume is the case with all these mergers since '95), and usually ends up a real mess. Is it a favoritism type situation, or is it strictly followed by seniority or your, "numbers"?

I'm sorry this is going on. Really hope there are plenty of great opportunities that lie ahead for you and the rest suffering the same fate.
