Is it actually going to go on the 19th? The last I'd heard the entire line of flying was subbed with airbii because the feds still hadn't signed off on the cabin.

It's an awesome plane from up front and even with our sub par cabin (no need for lots of glamor when the longest leg is 45 minutes) it's comfortable in the back.

Correcto!

The 717 has been it's own category for a couple of months.

It was supposed to "debut" quite a while ago, but there were some issues so all of that flying dropped into the NYC A320 category virtually overnight.

I guess it was more of a challenge getting that @ATN_Pilot stench out of the cockpit than MX realized. :)

I believe Midwest operated them separate...but they both had warm chocolate chip cookies!

Anyone know when they all leave the AirTran fleet? I've been meaning to get a bunch of pics of them in ATL before they all get the sideways widget stamped across the tail.

They'll still be around until at least the end of next year. Losing them at a rate of three per month, roughly.

Thanks, final nerdy question; why are they taking away the 717 special liveries(Colts, Falcons, Ravens, ect.) and painting them into the standard livery before giving them to DL? Seems like a waste of money, plus it makes me butt hurt.

More nonsense from the evil Tex-ass overlords. They didn't want to renew the deals with those teams, so they painted over the special liveries.

I take it you're not really digging the new boss, eh?

Funny, since the Tex-ass overlords you speak of are the "Official Airline" of every sport that airs on cable and have their logo somewhere in most teams stadiums. Go figure.

Yeah, we couldn't figure it out, either. Best theory we have is that those teams wouldn't pay SWA what they demanded, but who knows.
