Those things are huge, I always see em looking like they're anemic, and struggling to stay airborne out of PHX as they hug the Earth. I at least think that they're almost the size of a 752.

Im sure leaving Phoenix or other places going across the country that could be the case. Over the last two days I was going from Seattle to California and not nearly full with fuel so it performed pretty good.

Yeah they're mainly UA 739's I see. And they're not alone, US Airway's A321's and American MD-80's do pretty much the same. Naturally its worse in the summer time.
