Delta Ticketing/Gate Agent

I can't speak for mainline, I was DGS but a lot of it was LMS training. We didn't go down to Atlanta for any classes other than the service from the heart training, and ALIS. It should be easier since they're not teaching the new people how to use Deltaterm anymore, so that means not really having to remember as many codes for the system.

Videos, LMS, on the job training. The SNAPP system (when it works) is pretty simple point, click, follow the prompt kind of software. If you work in a CUTE airport like my wife, you will also get DLTerm training as SNAPP doesn't like CUTE systems. Actually, given the frequency with which SNAPP crashes I think they are giving DLTerm training to at least some users in all cities though I have no way of verifying that.

Some things, like jump seats, are still done in DLTerm. Had to help the gate agent a few weeks ago who was struggling to get me listed. I showed her how I used to do it (was a gate agent for about 14 years) and she remarked how much easier it was my way and that no one ever showed her how to do it that way. I just remarked that no one bothered to learn the old system well once SNAPP was created a few years ago. The funny thing is, SNAPP is just an interface and all it does is send commands to DLTerm which still runs in the background. It's been a few years but I could probably still run a manual reissue without calling Global too (just definitely not as fast as I used to).

If I hired I'll be working at a major hub airport for Delta.
