Delta TA

With the exception of "Great White," whom you'll never hear me say a good word about, the rest I believe are doing what they think is best for the members. Doesn't mean you have to agree, that a majority of the pilots agree, or even that they're right about what is best. But they aren't a malevolent force.

Harwood is absolute poison, but thinks that he is the greatest gift possible to the pilot group.

Parker put himself in charge of comm. In the modern social media environment, that's like putting an 85 year old grandmother that uses a jitterbug phone in charge of comm.

I thought Roger was no longer doing the ALPA thing.

@PeanuckleCRJ whats his current position?

They're doing what they believe is right and best for the pilot group. You would prefer that they do what is popular, which I would consider an irresponsible approach. It's a representative republic, not a direct democracy.

However, if you look at what's going on behind the scenes, it's neither.

You have representatives that take the input from their electorate and act accordingly.

You have appointees that serve "overtime" as lobbyists that lobby representatives against the will of their electorate.

You have an MEC that wants to stay in power, remembers how it got elected, that is going to please the appointees and others that support the power structure.

Nothing gets done and we end up with TA's that the electorate asks itself, "Well, How did I get here?"

You're being kind.

Our COMM strategy is like hiring a hardcore Vegan to run "MeatAPalooza 2015".

No one should feel safe until he's retired and living on an island out of communication with the outside world. I spit in his general direction.

Every time there is some union stuff going on, roger pops up on APC to give "facts." As soon as he gets called out on his errors or things go into lull, he goes radio silent.

We have a lot of those. However, many of those are "sacred cows" that you can't speak evil of.

We need a Roomba.

Personally, I'm a fan of public shaming.

Regrettably, that doesn't fit in with the "culture" here and I'm to "new" to see the "big picture".
