Delta TA

Oh dear.

The planes are likely coming regardless. The rates are already on the books so saying that the order depends on the outcome of the TA is rediculous. Are we really so stupid as to believe that fleet plan decisions are solely based on a pilot contract? Really? Come on @Trip7. I guess I was giving you too much credit as to think even you wouldn't believe such nonsense.

The planes might go to United if we turn this down according to the Union at the roadshow. Part of the reason Management approached the Union for an early deal was due to them realizing current rates are not sustainable if they want current FOs to bid Captain

The mainline growth is unavoidable. A publicly traded company that is profitable isn't looking to shrink and far less likely to outsource its core product which for Southernjets is domestic service to its hubs. JV is a far greater threat currently to our careers and that language isn't exactly earth shattering in this deal.
Delta Mainline pilots

Delta isn't in the business of handing market share to one of its 2 biggest competitors. I'm glad I'm not as ignorant as my union thinks I am.

Agree 100% that mainline growth is inevitable. I even agree that the E190 maybe coming anyway. The choice is whether we accept them at industry leading rates for the next 3 years or fly them at near regional wages with New hires in the Left seat fighting the NMB for 3 years.

I HIGHLY doubt RA will reward bad behavior by adding value after a No vote. But that's just my opinion

I've studied extensively the AF/KLM JV metrics and history and I am completely fine with the new AF/KLM language. It's solid theatre protection. Our widebody jobs have Global Protection via our fantastic Virgin JV language.

Global Protection Supercedes Theatre Protection

Fine by me. The 717 is the same size and pays what it should. the 190 is NOT the RJ returned to mainline... how freaking ignorant. It's a mainline airplane yesterday, today, and tomorrow.

Or run to the movies WITH a babysitter… Amarite? :)

Ok, I'm back to the shadows...
Did one of your fantasies just surface?

Wait, didn't I say that already?

Give me a flipping break?! Voting NO is bad behavior now? Is the company now my mother or something? Enough with the fear grenades. That last sentence is quite positively the most rediculous thing you've ever posted...and you've set a very high bar for yourself over the years.

Settle down there lol. Correct, if a pilot group or any union group votes down a TA and the company gives more money that is rewarding bad behavior. All the other labor groups will think they can do the same.

Puppy and the rest of the Negotiating Committee have stated multiple time that they have never seen this management team reward bad behavior. Ask Boeing. Ask Alaska. Ask lots of vendors.

Based off that it is my opinion we won't gain a single cent of value added after voting the TA down.

I could be way off base and I am not a Delta pilot so maybe it is none of my business, but maybe guys that are upset and are no voters don't think they will add anymore value with a no vote, but instead looking to move the value around to different things. The few guys I talked to feel the NC didn't listen to the pilots.

Bingo!

Completely agree! Very well said!

Everyone:

Just let me throw out a statement to everyone. This represents one persons views and not officially the views of Delta Air Lines, Jetcareers.com, DALPA or anyone else besides the poster himself.

If this is what's being said at roadshows, I'm going to have a very stern chat with Mike Donatelli, personally, when I get out of the shower about his presentation.

Like Thor said in Avengers, You have No idea what you're dealing with :)

Is Delta going to operate the 190 in a true 100 seat configuration?

If they are like the AA 190s, Delta still won't have 100 seat aircraft (by your definition).
