Delta TA

I'm just here for the rap off now.

Aw'right, fool. Throw me a beat. Let's do this.

They tell us we're the best, so pay us accordingly and have my contract reflect professional respect. Otherwise, it's just talk.

Was going to say, I just looked back and found his post of definitely voting yes within hours of the language being released......nothing wrong with voting yes, but his decision was made well before a road show

First he was a yes, then he had doubts because of a few things, then he went to the roadshow and got the facts. All very rational and reasonable. As opposed to "IT ISN'T EVERYTHING I DEMANDED, SO LET'S BURN IT!"

Where have I said that in this thread? Please show me.

I was referring more to the APC and Facebook crowd with that comment. But you are off the deep end expecting a massive improvement in sick leave that no company would accept and no mediator would sympathize with.

That's his impression, which is a false impression.

I'm not looking for an "awesome LCC" or a "super regional" contract. I'm looking for a contract requisite to the sacrifices, successes and recognition of the hard work we do to keep SouthernJets as a successful country.

This TA…. well it's T-Aint.

Where did I say sick leave needs a massive improvement?

Don't worry about it.

I do!

Unequivocally, that the sick leave is a non-starter for me. They could raise the rates 100% but I'm a "contractual language" man. High pay rates without underlying languages is nothing more than "Hay! Yower plane might be fast, but my cousin's got a Hemi Cuda" at the bar.

(someone actually told me that a decade ago)

Where? For the record, current book would be fine.

The part where you said they shouldn't have sick verification.

The TA is essentially current book. Instead of hours, they're using days as the metric, and they've taken it out of the hands of the CPO and given it to a medical professional. They've also gotten improvements such as an FAA absence bank (absolutely great improvement that I believe is an industry first).

Was it C2K instead of '01? I'm getting old and forgetting these minute details. :) You know what I meant. I'm trying to figure out if there is anything you'd vote in favor of.

I really have no clue.

And no, we had a number of ballots on smaller issues. I think the 737 and 777 votes were around that same time period. Might have been 99 or 2000, I can't remember. But I do remember the "Park 'Em" stickers when I was on DLX and understood some of the salient issues somewhat but I did a lot more listening than beating my fist at my coworkers on the internet. That's a quick way to get your name around for the wrong reasons and it sticks.

Remember, I'm the "computer guy". I could be choking on my vomit in a toilet in an Israeli beer house and someone will hand me their Netbook and ask if I could help them get on the wifi.

Personally, to be really honest, unless the person has lived under the present contract and is going to live under the future contract, outside opinions are largely for entertainment and purposes of staving boredom.

I've been around long enough to know what we had, know what we lost, know what we need to get back, and know what needs to get contractually choked behind the proverbial high school gymnasium.

(edited and added a little humor. It was so dark. So dark. :))

How do you know it will be a medical professional? It is going to be outsourced.

Yes, that FAA absence bank does look nice.
