Delta suspends Congressional perks amid DHS shutdown

Good! I echo Mike's question.

Long time ago there was such a thing as a "pastoral discount" at certain stores. I always refused it. In later years, doing ride-along with various police agencies, discounts were offered at certain places and - in my experience - always politely declined.

This Congress especially deserves no perks for their title and lack of doing their job for the benefit of the Republic.

I wish the perks of their paycheck would go bye bye, can’t do your job and get an agreement, you don’t get paid. Stop ruining hard working people’s lives for your political games, BOTH sides. Although, most are probably well insulated with all of their income streams that makes them multi millionaires on a couple hundy a year..

Cue the laugh replies in 3…2…

If only one of the parties had, multiple times, advanced bills that would cleanly fund airport screening and other non-ICE/CBP functions of DHS. And if only that one party had gotten the bill through the senate. But then it was blocked by house leadership which belongs to ONE party. Then would you finally admit that maybe it’s not a both sides problem?

Like I said, take both sides pay away and maybe something would happen faster. One or the other is included in both. Don’t care to hear the rest, until the workers are paid.

Don’t forget calling in one group of employees to do the work of another is the definition of wasteful spending.
