If Delta or Air Canada report it smooth, nobody else will be reporting chop/turbulence. Air Canada is worse than Delta, though - even the Canadian controllers refer to it as "Air Canada Chop" at times.
It's so incredibly annoying. And you're not going to change anything. There's CBs through 50k. Or there's a frontal passage, or you're just north of the jetstream. Guess what. It's going to be bumpy. It's a damn airplane moving through a moving fluid! How often are boat rides smooth? Almost never. /freightpilot
