Delta Pilot Recruitment @ Sun 'n Fun in Florida

@Derg will they be there all days, April 5-10?

What would be the most appropriate attire?

Is this weighted at all, such as: less than a job fair but still better than not going?

Thanks!

The Facebook page says just the 6th at the Career Fair at the Florida Air Museum during S'nF.

I really can't answer the other questions, but, as always just look sharp. I still remember Jetcareer's Aviation Career Expo 2010 when a guy showed up in an Ed Hardy shirt and bedazzled jeans. That was uhh interesting.

As far as I read, it seems to be a job fair, but maybe the sun 'n fun sight has more information on it?

The above link takes me to the FB page, but I didn't see any info for the event.

@Derg I was thinking it was during the airshow booth, but I found the Sun n' Fun site and info. Thanks for posting this!

Eh, it is almost entirely outdoors, very warm and dusty, and more of a camp ground atmosphere. I wouldn't wear a suit or tie. [EDIT: except to the indoor air conditioned job fair part]

I personally will be wearing cargo shorts (as will just about everyone else).

I called Sun n' Fun and they said the career fair is air conditioned. I haven't been to Sun n' Fun having recently moved to FL. I thought the job fair said suit and tie for dress code which is what I plan on wearing.

I would definitely pack a change of clothes for walking around there afterwards.

Is the admission in addition to the job fair ticket ($37)? Which by the way is a great deal!

There is no seperate job fair ticket. You just pay admission to the air show, that is your way in to the whole venue. The air museum is located inside. You must sign up for a time slot online for the job fair and someone will check off your name at the museum and they will let you enter at the appropriate time slot, so it doesn't get too crowded.

Last year they they had a good showing, even people that were on the standby list got in pretty quick. The wait to talk to a recruiter wasn't too long.

Weird, I guess I had forgotten because I purchased it and got the time slot at the same time. Anyone want to split a room?

Is Delta hiring ground instructors?

Janitors?

Do I have to sign an ALPA card?

Yeah, I think when you sign up for a time slot the web site will lead you to buy a ticket to the airshow. I didn't buy my ticket until I showed up at the event last year, as I wasn't sure if I was going to make it. Also, if you drive in, it's $10 to park.
