Delta pilot apps on file

Five bucks says that 98% of those that did not pass were due to the cog eval. Folks have to work hard to flunk the face to face interview.

You can go through weeks of hard core interview prep think of little else and still flunk that HR. Uhhhhh it happened to some guy I know. . . . .:o (This was a few years ago.) Personally I thought the cog screen really wasn't so bad.

Great news if they are letting folks give it a second go around!!!

Just out of curiosity, how did he find this out?

Well, for all I know he was feeding me a bunch of hooey. Anyhow, he told me that he got a call from a guy who told him he passed the 3-person "panel interview". However, he said he failed the MMPI test, and he even gave me a score (which I forget now) that he got on the test. He said the guy told him he was eligible to re-interview in 6 months since he passed the panel interview portion.
Like I said, though, I don't know him but from that one trip, he could have been feeding me a line..

Sounds like hooey to me. Delta has never told anyone what they scored on the MMPI. I even tried to find out what mine was and was told in no uncertain terms that that information was restricted and I was not allowed to know. Even though I was the one who took the test, Delta was the one who paid for it so the information belonged to them. All they ever told anyone was either they were offered a job opportunity or no thank you. If it was "No thank you," then they added you could re-apply after 6 months, or don't darken our doorstep again.

With all that said, maybe they have changed the policy this time, but knowing the company culture, I seriously doubt it.

That all sounds a little weird. But, just slightly. I am fairly sure that if you fail the psyche then that's it, you're done, no re-interview. The reason why is because when the psyche is failed then you automatically go to a review board. The board can choose to waive the psyche and hire anyway or go with the psyche evals findings.

Also, you know right away if you passed the panel interview. The only way to get to the MMPI is to pass the interview. Panel interview is on day 1 and psyche and physical are day 2.

i know of a person that was had the 3 person panel interivew first, was told no thanks and then got a letter to never come back again. Sounds like they are very selective and if you fail that portion of the interview, you are never allowed to come back.

Probably if it involves a call to corporate security or a dead clown in the reflecting pond.

If you interviewed previously there's nothing barring you from being invited back for another interview, however they are currently interviewing people who haven't been through previously.

Do they ask you about what phase of flight you should cancel your IFR flight plan on?

I can see some on here may not make it past that question.

Oops, a reliable little birdy says the number is actually 5,000. That's five thousands, folks. A five, a comma, three zeroes.

Was that this time around or the previous times? I know back when they were hiring before the merry go round came to a screeching halt, if you didn't pass the panel, then you were toast for good. Seggster might be able to toss some more input in on that one since he lived it, but that's what I heard.
