Oh yeah the've been waiting for quite some time now. Some have been going over to JetBlue and Frontier. When UA and NWA start calling back and US starts calling, I see more captain upgrades in the near future. We're hiring 60 a month for the rest of the year and classes have slowed down to one a month vs every week like it was a few months back.

I know a few of your FOs came to PCL and are now CAs. We had another initial vacancy close yesterday, 6 more CA slots in MSP unfilled, and it's not over yet. Final vacancy comes out in a bout a week, and that'll have the guys that switched bases as well as the guys that left, leaving more CA slots open. In the financial conference call Phil said we're back to where we need to be on staffing, yet we still can't fill classes....

Steve, can you tell me if a K. Stroup has taken the CA bid yet. He was my PPL CFI..
 
Thanks for posting up those numbers Doug! Interesting. When I was a kid, all I wanted to do was fly for Delta, because my Aunt always flew them up from NC. Nowadays, I'm not really sure. Continental is my top choice, mainly because my aviation mentor and good friend is a Capt. over there, plus EWR base.

uh, no...he exaggerates! i had one solid prospect a few hours later...i have 3 now but i haven't interviewed for the other 2 yet so i wouldn't call it "solid" (yet). :)

I think it's her way of pre-convincing me that folks aren't calling her so she can take 6 to 12 months off of work!

why do you keep exaggerating? yes, they called me for an interview, i called them back, they didn't call me back in time to "have" the interview on friday..so i'm assuming it's going to be this afternoon...

and no, i don't expect 6-12 months.. when did i evar mention an entire year? If i was going for an entire year, i wouldn't be interviewing *now*. crazy pilot! :banghead:

if you ask me, i think i deserve this time off between jobs...i've worked long and hard the past how many years to help float *your* boat AND be able to afford the opportunity to be picky and i'm gonna take that opportunity. :drool: it's your turn to be the "sugadaddy" of which i'm thinking, by now, you can perform with ease. :bandit:

btw...what's the G20?

I don't know, my "babies" are teenagers so I've kinda forgotten what it's like to have a real baby in the house...

I actually am having a lot more fun with the teenagers then I ever did with the babies...

My pops said the same thing, but he said he still doesnt get any more sleep now that we're older

He said he'd be woken up by us crying as babies, and he'd get 3-4 hours of sleep, now he gets waken up to us having friends over, or music, or us leaving at weird times of the night etc.

Any truth to that with you?
 
Jeez, I prefer the babies over the teenagers any day of the week. I have 3 -- a 16 year old son (who's great) and identical twin 13 year old daughters who are giving me a run for my money. I love kids (up until the point where they start walking and talking. That's when the "trouble" starts! Just kidding ====== maybe... :D
