Delta meltdown part...4?

Edit out that freaking phone number. Jesus!

Wait, so FA's and others were actually not getting paid? I saw the note on Deltanet, and assumed they were asking for volunteers to come in on their previously assigned off day and get paid to work when they didn't have to. I was caught in DTW on Friday. Company gave us 10 hours, 6 plus hour sit, then they decide to put us on a Mx test flight because obviously we had time. Then they expected us to operate 3 more legs into bad weather late at night. When I started tripping on my own rubber souls in the terminal on multiple occasions, I figures it was time to drop the F bomb and go home. But my deadhead was missing FA's. The agents had no idea where they were and couldn't get a hold of anyone to find out. It was just rolling delays until it cancelled and I had since caught a different flight.

I will say that there is this evil part of me that enjoys system irrops. The people watching can be amusing while I watch lines snake from the service center all the way down the terminal. Then I go hide down in the crew room to take a nap. :)

It's heavily frustrating when the information was freely available on SouthernJetsNet and instead of reading what it was and what they were asking, people get triggered and start "sport bitching"…

…when all they have to do is read from the source…

"But Facebook says…"

Not a slam on sji as the whole "my legacy is better than yours" thing is really dumb, but from your posts here and in fb it does seem like you've gotten saddled with some real winner new hires recently. Do you think that's an industry trend or a result of hiring practices?

Flow, <cough cough>

This is the end of my participation in the thread because I will literally start mailing cat poop to some of ya'll.

Actually taking the time to read something posted is hard and involves work.

Like people needing to be led by the hand with their application because they want overthink what the definition of "is", is.

feel free to mail it to me, I just went directly to the Peach Corps site on SJInet. They are a VOLUNTEER force. Don't get me wrong, I love working at SJI, but it's unethical in my opinion for a company making billions to ask people to work for free to fix their screw up.

What's the company asking of people, apart from volunteers to help direct others where to find help and some other minor stuff? Doesn't sound like they are asking people to do their actual jobs for free, like fly flights and such. Nor instructing anyone that they have to do anything. Is it anything beyond that?

Either way, seems like if one doesn't want to volunteer for a voluntary program, simply don't sign up.

Sounds like mostly gate agents and reservations people that are doing the volunteering according to various posts on FaceSpace

And when you said that during your interview, what was their response?
