Delta "Interview Invitation" ?

To those who applied at delta, have you taken a look at your application status online lately? When I click on Additional Job Info at the bottom it says "Interview Invitation" and a date. Now this date is a week after my video interview so I don't think it refers to that. Just curious if other people have the same thing. Because I know I definitely didn't receive any invites via email.

I've got the same thing.

I highly doubt an organization as professional as Delta would email you saying "this is your interview date". I suspect we'll all be receiving calls to schedule our interviews in the coming days and weeks.

Is there any discussion of scheduling the interview or is it "interview is on this day, be there or be sorry"?

Any idea what we should do if we haven't received an email but have the "interview invitation - [date]" remark on our application status?

Well at UA they sent a list of dates and times and asked you to pick one and call/email. Not sure how DAL does it.

But I find it strange that the application status says "Interview Invitation" and they haven't sent out an invitation. But I guess it's ok if other people have the same ....

Oh well... Hurry up and wait :)

For airline dispatch interviews, most airlines aren't flexible in the interview process. Whether they call or email, there are usually set dates and times they will be willing to do the interview process and if you can't make then you won't be getting the job.

Likewise, some carriers will give you a confirmed ticket to fly in and others won't. If you can't make the interview date because the flight cancelled or delayed then usually you can take it as a sign that this job wasn't meant to be at that time because many carriers won't re-schedule you.

It is the same thing for the pilots, flight attendants and many other airline jobs. There is no shortage of qualified dispatchers so airlines have a big pool to choose from with only a small amount of jobs open compared the size of the pool. 300-500 qualified applicants for 5 jobs is not unheard of. If you can't make it someone else will.

I think that Delta may repost the position again because they sent out TBNT too soon and changed their minds. That's what Southwest did when they did a wrong post

Has anyone else seen the "Keep Warm" designation? I just saw someone have that on their profile???
Mine says, "please wait your call is very important to us your application process will take longer than standard wait times if you would like to leave a message and we'll call you back in the order it was recieved press 3".

Doubtful, for a couple of obvious reasons.

First and foremost: MONEY. The thing that really matters to airlines. They already had their 3rd party contractor video interview people. I doubt they will re-pay unless it's absolutely necessary.

As for the SWA comparison. There is a HUGE difference between inviting someone to continue in the process, and then wanting to renig. The ONLY option is to cancel the entire inventory and re-post. However when you accidentally reject a portion of the inventory, there is no need to repost. You haven't inadvertantly invited people to continue that you can't / don't want to interview.

I got the same thing; an email saying that an email was sent in error about not being selected to continue. Then the next day, my status said interview invite on a certain date. That was last week, and I've heard nothing since..

Interview invites sounds almost like they're just going through the motions. "Well Sterling, I sent out 5 invites today, how many did you send?"
