Delta Hiring

Applied.

For some reason the it wouldn't let me upload my resume. I guess copy/paste will have to do. Good luck everyone.

Sure looks the position has closed/
or could they repost tried to apply
when I got home from work and the
position is gone.

I dont know if it happened to y'all, but when I clicked on the link, it said that my application timed out, and asked for a job code...any help #1FMS? I have not seen the posting either on Delta.com...I am guessing it has been taken down.

It was up at 0830. Was waiting on a referral code. Looks like I missed the opportunity. Darn. They will be posting again every few months.

It looks like the listing is still up, but I had to search for it on their site. I found the posting listed as "Assistant Flight Superintendent."

Looks like I'll have to sit this one out as the listing requires 3 years of experience and I only have 2.5. :(
Good luck to all who qualify and apply!

I would say it is worth a shot. But I've seen internal memo's stating that they definitely want 3 years experience. They will be doing a lot of hiring over the next 5 years. I've heard to the tune of 120 dispatchers on the low side.

It looks like this posting was cancelled and re-posted, so you have to reapply....but you can attach your resumes now without having to cut and paste this go around.

Sorry about the link...i don't think their site will allow the actual link posted...will have to search for it. Actual title is Assistant Flight Superintendent.

Yes, they want at least 3 years, and honestly I think that will be considered on the low side...They score the resumes and send the top bunch for testing...
Good news is will be hiring again in the winter.

Can those of us still submit even though we don't have 3 years or is that an automatic disqualifier? Granted it'd be a long shot to even be considered but stranger things have happened in this industry.

Given by where it falls in the application process, I'd put my money on it being an automatic disqualifies. Won't know for sure unless you get a rejection email right afterwards though right?

The system makes you answer specific questions and if the answer isn't what they want I'm pretty sure it will end the process. If I remember correctly, the questionaire asked
if you had at least 3 years dispatch experience...all it will cost you is some time to apply and find out for sure.

Indeed it does....I got to that part in the application process and stopped. Thought I'd better find out and be certain rather than lie on an application. Worst case is get the thanks for applying response and wait until next time....Thanks #1FMS and MT

FYI-
Latest is they are looking to have the first class mid-Sept, then another in Jan or Feb...according to a union board member.

A little bird I know is saying they are possibly cancelling the class right now and looking to fill it later on this summer....

A little bird told you this? Or the email they just sent out to everyone saying they will not be filling the positions right now told you this? lol

Only email I received was "thanks for applying but you weren't selected because you do not meet some of the minimum qualifications"....funny that I got this and I never finalized my application for submission

Somebody I know at Delta sent me a text message about it since a lot of people I know applied for it. I dont know of any email as I did not apply for the position.
