Delta Flight Museum ATL

I've been and it was pretty good. Not quite sure the admission price is worth it nor the $6 million poured into renovating it but I'm probably missing some incentive that made it worth doing.
 
I've been twice in the past couple of months, @Gonzo and I had a good visit there the last time.

It's not overwhelming, you can move about and see everything without feeling like "Did I miss something?". Being able to walk around/in a 767 is pretty awesome. For my money, nothing beats being able to sit in a real L-1011 cockpit.

Def worth a visit if you're an aviation nerd.
 
There are things going on behind the scenes to add items and other aircraft to the museum. It will get better!;) Has anyone been to the C.R. Smith (American Airlines) Museum in DFW?

The word I've heard is that the supplier can't get the product to work as advertised. We'll see. Beer is on me if it happens in the next 18 months.

What is the admission price?
 
Delta should buy one of the 65 fouled up 787s that are sitting on cinderblocks at Everett. Boeing employees jokingly refer to this fleet as 'the teenagers.'

Might draw quite a crowd having the world's first museum piece 787!

Yep. That's what I heard. They couldn't do the job at the price they bid it for. Wanted to charge more. Delta said "No, a contract is a contract," and held them to the bid price. So that is the stand off. The contractor will go bankrupt if they do it at the price they bid, and Delta won't pay any more.

Delta Employees, Retirees, Buddies, Neighbors of EMployees, People on the friends and family cellular plan of employees, former school teachers of employees... basically everyone associated in any way with DAL EXCEPT ENDEAVOR AIR employees.

I heard there was an issue with the FMS system and that is what has holding up the project.
