DELTA DROPS ACA

[ QUOTE ]

I dunno, the rule and contractural language was there for the past umpteen years, I can't see how that same pre-existing language/business decision is suddenly making Delta a poo poo stinky head.

Doug, I want to clarify. I'm not angry at Delta or DALPA. This was not unexpected and I think that in the long run it will be beneficial to Independence Air.

My comment was that I don't see the logic behind taking the FRJs away from ACA because we are buying Airbusses (Airbusi?) and then giving them to a company that operates DC-9s, especially when American Eagle, an AMR company, is also operating as a DCI carrier. It just seems that these would equally violate your scope.

Again, all I wish for is a slow transition that will keep your fellow ALPA brothers from being put on the street.

Because of the agreement that both ACA and Delta signed and dated. [ QUOTE ]

To clarify further, ACA did not violate our DCI contract. Our A319s put us in conflict with the DALPA contract, which we were not a party to. Therefore, DAL is terminating us without cause and will most likely have to assume leases on the FRJs to the tune of $300 million or so.

The smart money is on Skyway to get the airplanes, so all you JCers should be putting in resumes there.
