Because they don't have to. Yet. The minima aren't there as absolutes. They are there to thin the herd. When the herd ceases to be so big, well, they no longer need to thin it, do they?

There are some people here that hate the blue shirts. They complain about the color all the time. It always makes me wonder...didn't you know that the uniform had a blue shirt when you applied?

I knew I'd probably have to fly with @DPApilot when I came here, but wasn't actually sitting in the cockpit, smelling him when I filled out the application.

This reminds me of the (infamous?) uniform thread. It seems like it's mostly guys saying "this is dumb" followed by guys saying "this is how it is, toughen up, buttercup". Both can be true at the same time.

FWIW, I think I understand the rationale behind most of the "herd-thinning" strategies. Some of them seem sane, possibly even efficacious. Some of them, eh, less so.

In any case, I don't see the problem with having a discussion about these strategies. Like, yes, I understand that this is the way it is, and for my part I'm willing to put up with a lot more than wearing a ridiculous costume or getting a degree from Youknow U for a great job (see above re: @DPApilot). But that doesn't mean that the conversation can't be interesting or even useful.

I like discussions about the nature of things. A lot of people don't.
 
PMJ is amazing. I listened to an entire Nicki Minaj song without vomiting or throwing myself off a bridge. That's some kind of superpower stuff.
