How do you apply for Delta Connection and Continental Express Jet? Do you have to apply for Delta and Continental? Do you have to have the same hours applying for Connection/Express as you are applying for Delta and Continental as a major?

Delta Connection is actually several different airlines. Of those, only one is actually owned by Delta, and they hire separately from Delta mainline as well. You'll be looking to apply to these airlines for Delta Connection:

Comair
Atlantic Southeast Airlines
Skywest
Republic Airways/Chautauqua/Shuttle America
Mesa/Freedom
Pinnacle
ExpressJet

As for Continental, they're pretty much the same. Multiple "regional" airlines flying under the Continental name, but not owned by Continental.

ExpressJet
Chautauqua
Commutair

Minimums vary for each airline.

:yeahthat: for the most part...

Continental Express = The Regional "Jet" feed. ExpressJet & Chautauqua

Continental Connection = The Regional "Prop" feed. Colgan, CommutAir, CapeAir, & Gulfstream.

Hey, I have to assume people aren't intentionally misrepresenting themselves--even when all I've got to go on is their username...

yeah.. last thing we need is another tomcatter on board! ;)

I kindof assumed something just based on the misspelling of the word "boeing" ;)

The person can't even spell Boeing. Do you actually think he is a 74 pilot?

Come on....

Of course not. Just making a point about people misrepresenting themselves, even through something as innocuous as a username.

Boeing747Pilot's profile:

Date of Birth: November 19
Biography: only a 747 wannabe
Location: Honolulu, HI
Interests: Flying, Baseball, Sailing
Occupation: Student
What I'm Flying:: Cessna 172s

I think he is just trying to learn a little about the industry, and how to work for different connection carriers.

Yes I am... thank you for understanding.

How did they possibly make you a moderator. You are nothing like any of the moderators that I've talked to. KrisAll of the other moderators I know are very nice people, are all very understanding. You, on the other hand, are very rude and should keep to yourself about MY own spelling mistakes.

Plus, 74 is NOT an airplane. As you can see, all people make mistakes in spelling, and I think you shouldn't embarrass people about them.

Lol, he was making a general sarcastic comment about the spelling of your screenname, and now you're ripping into him because he ripped into you.

Chill JEP is a cool guy.

But also learn abbreviations for commercial airliners.

74=747, 744=747-400, 752=757-200, 738=737-800, 763/764= 767-300 & 767-400 respectively.

Now, guess what a 773 is?

:)

Also, if you want to correct the spelling of your screenname, just PM and admin or mode, and they'll correct the spelling for you!

Slow your roll Big Fella! The fact that you did not spell it correctly, can lead one to believe that you are not a 747 pilot. Which is why I was trying to defend you to the user regarding the comment, "Why would a 747 pilot want to fly for a regional?...."

I am sorry if you feel that I am rude, but in reality, you don't know me so I am fine with that. I have been around here long enough and the people that do know me, would disagree with you.

Granted I do in fact not know you, except from your postings. That is all I have to go on and how I base my view.

Anyhow, I apoligize if you think I embarrased you. That was in no way my intent.

:hiya:

Is that a Boeing 777-300!!!!

Sidebar.....(yeah that's my thing this morning so deal).
Anyways I used to frequent a particular photo site that didn't begin with A, and alot of the guys on there also knew the company codes as well. I think -x32 was delta. Are you up to speed on those as well Maxy? Pretty cool how much some of these guys know about airliners.

However, i think i should point out that we are quite big on spelling and grammar here...If you're embarrassed about it, that might be a clue to start honing in on those skills. :)

In regards to this... actually, a "74" is an airplane! you have an a TON of information to learn if you want to be a pilot and i would keep in tune with that at all times on this board because people will bring it to your attention and sometimes not in a nice way...a lot of airplanes have acronyms or nicknames... such as sometimes a 747 is called "74" or 737 is called "73" to shorten and is understandable by most aviation related peeps....i don't know why, it just is.

I'm surprise MSTU_Av8er just said WOW and didn't at least try to explain what's wrong with that statement....Comeon Lloyd...How does one expect a person to learn with remarks like that? obviously Boieng747 doesn't know any better :o
