That's kind of what I heard.

When I was doing my domestic IOE, the check pilot and I had dinner and filled me in on a lot of interesting details about his exit.

Apparently, much to my surprise, his antics against JC and myself pissed off a lot of people. A LOT.

(edit: I'll leave the rest of the story for a meet 'n greet or NJC because I have a lot of juicy details that I don't necessarily want showing up on Google! :) )

Needless to say, he's the only person in my 39 years that I haven't been able to fully do the "right thing" by finding peace with and forgiving. I'm working on it though, but it's hard.

Can't believe a fellow aviator would try to use his influence to have me fired to further his business interests. FAIL.

On the bright side, it speaks well of whoever was being pressured inside the company/union that they showed him who would be headed towards the door. Look forward to hearing the unexpurgated story if I ever get a schedule that will permit an NJC.

I thought we'd see a lot of FAs leave after the killed our flight benefits and no pay increase. Tough economy meant we hardly lost any at all. I have a feeling it might be the same down there, too.
 
Oh well.


I went there, spent more than I need to (dropped about 50K) for my ratings but I got out quick, really quick. Getting out quick allowed me to get on with an airline before the furloughs started.

So yeah, I paid about $10K more than I needed but another 6 months and I would have been furloughed with any number of airlines...

So you know...6 of 1, half a dozen of the other

Reminds me of an old customer that I had.

Every time he saw me he would go into the old song and dance about being broke and was going to pay me just as soon as he could.

One day I was in the little stop and rob and he pulls up in a brand new F-250 4WD. I walk out and he starts in about how bad it is and I ask him about what he owed me. "Oh, I didn't buy this with your money"! WTH??

He got a letter from my attorney shortly thereafter and I got my money and then I promptly fired him.

"Didn't buy it with your money" my azz.
