Oh come now, the airlines know they have to retire their older planes that are using "More Fuel" or producing "Higher emissions"

Sometimes those "jets" just have too big of a "footprint", or require too much "cabin overhaul" costs

now where's that VietJet schedule book again......

Yeah, it didn't.

Plenty of US crews who care and ME crews who don't. Met several Qatar and Emirates FAs who only do the job for the travel and actually said they give the minimum service to slide by. Remember, they are only doing it for a few years. There is no loyalty to their employer.

It was a classless remark. That being said, a union structure does protect jobs - for better and worse. It protects the older flight attendant who does an outstanding job for being let go because she's aged naturally, and it protects the older flight attendant who stopped giving a damn about the customer decades ago.

What a bunch of crap.

A few years ago (not sure if oscar was in town or Jeff at the wheel) a shuttle FA DID EXACTLY WHAT HER FA MANUAL SAID to do about serving soda inbounded to D.C.
The anti, anti-Muslim uproar caused a social media backlash, and the poor FA was "fired" back to only doing delta flights, because, well regionals.

I've lost count of how many FA's have asked me to lift there bags, because their osteoporosis was flairing up, or the pregnant ones who still work in 2nd trimester, or I assume because her belly is well beyond showing.

We don't have the best looking flight attendants, good grief. Heaven forbid we accept that we have thousands of grandmothers flying overhead right now. I bet at least one or two can lift here own bags though.

I think the "Grannies and Grandes"-type pilots who complain about that stuff would be fit to be tied if the tables were turned.
