Delta Airlineapps account expiring?

Hi all,

I just got an email saying that my Delta airlineapp was expiring, that to continue holding it on file with delta, I'd need to pay the yearly fee. I update my application monthly as necessary with hours (that don't add up using airlineapp's ludicrous logbook entry), is this notification because of lack of weekly activity, or just happens after a year? By the way, anyone know how to get noticed by delta? I don't think I could do much more on my resume- check airman, sim instructor, CRM course teacher, 2000 TPIC time, 4000hrs, cum laude from college, etc...

Stalking RA in a creepy, serial killer way will get you noticed.

On a serious level, internal reccomendations get you moved to the top of the pile. How many ya got?

I only have one, and a promise from someone else to write one- my fear is that it'll drop offline once my account expires. I definitely will print it out though. And begin stalking RA! Not that I'm looking on escaping my current 121 gig by any means, I'm enjoying work and people very much here- if and when the time comes to leave, it will be bittersweet. But my eventual "career goal" is international europe out-and-backs, so I think that restricts me to applying to mostly legacy carriers.

At least while you are doing all of those things and strengthening your resume you aren't missing out on some huge hiring spree, right? I mean it is not like hundreds of seniority spots are being filled on a monthly basis when things are really going strong. So this is at least a good time to have what you've got going, tpic/check airman etc. and just wait it out.

Last year, when Delta had classes in the late summer/fall, they announced the hiring on May 4. Point being that it still may not be past the point of them announcing anything for this fall/winter for 2012 flying. Although, that point is probably rapidly approaching and maybe they just won't hire at all this year with oil/Japan/Middle East stuff still having a bit of an effect on things.

From an outsider looking in, I'd definitely rather see any company not hire until it absolutely has to, just in case some huge event makes them overstaffed later on.

Make that 3 of us :)

Seriously, I'm about to put a WTB:Blue Dart add on Craigslist. 6 internal recs (all from people currently at B6 who have flown with me in the past), an invite to the open house last year and no call for an interview. If I interviewed and didn't get it, I could at least say I blew my chance. :)

the couple people I know who got the call in the last wave were pretty surprised.. it's anybody's guess as to why they call those they do... but no, they are not hiring at the moment.
