Delta AirElite

When I was looking through the WSJ this morning, I noticed an ad for Delta AirElite.

"The flexibility to come and go as you please isn't just a perk, it's a competitive advantage."

I for one am astounded by the two-faced-ness of Delta. They, by way of the ATA, have been spending the better part of the last several years trying to inform the public and Congress that general aviation is the evil of the aviation world. While I appreciate that there's enough of a market for their product, this ad just made all their statements of the past several years 10 times the stab in the back that they were before.

I doubt the customers paying for this care if any inflated GA-specific fees were bundled in. But yeah, almost as bad as the USA Today piece.

When you're the marketing department and are told to market something, then you put whatever spin is necessary on the product to sell it.

There's one and only one thing every major corporation really cares about. That's, of course, the bottom line.
