Hey everyone... just wanted to make it official since Delta just made it official.

I got the call this afternoon officially offering me employment as a pilot with Delta! I start training next Monday, February 5th. Aircraft and base will be assigned a bit later on, I suppose.

I'll keep everyone updated with training as it progresses and try to post an interview experience (now that it's all over with) on that section of the board.

Here's the second. In Atlanta you don't press buttons. You "mash" buttons. I don't know how many times I've heard in the simulator, "Son, mash the clock at the FAF and drive it on down to the DDA". "Mash vertical speed." "Mash altitude hold."

Anyway, Congrats.
 
True that. I remembered when I first heard Norb West talk about "mashin' buttons" during ground school, I about died!

"Son? Whatchoo laughin' 'bout?"

"Nothing sir!"

More nuggets: Starbucks are at "high B's" and "low A's", lounge is at the A-spine and don't complain too loudly about the lack of pepsi products in some of the lounges.

Heard a rumor that you had gotten the job, and I've had to keep my mouth shut the past few days. I've had CAs left and right asking if I knew anyone that interviewed yet. Playing dumb can be fun sometimes.....
