Delta 747

Xcaliber

El Chupacabra
So I might have a little more than the usual two days off soon, and I want to go somewhere. Specifically, I want to go somewhere on a Delta 747 before it goes away. The only problem is that I'm having a heck of a time finding flights that are on the thing. The only one I've been able to find is DTW-NRT. Does anyone know what routes the 74 is flying next month that I might jump on? (or a website where I can search by plane type)?

You could check flightaware and browse by operator. Offhand I think it also does:
DTW-ICN
DTW-PVG (may alternate daily with a 777)
NRT-SIN (may be seasonal with an A330 also)
HNL-KIX
HNL-NRT

There's likely a few more. If you haven't been to any of these places something like HNL-KIX would be a pretty cool trip, but any one of them would be interesting.

Certain days of the week it goes DTW-NRT then continues from NRT to MNL, BKK, or SIN. Other days it's done on the 777. I believe there is also a DTW to NGO as well.

Is ATL-NRT and ATL to Jo'burg still on the 747?

ATL-JNB was always either 767 with a stop or an LR I believe @HVYMETALDRVR. ATL-NRT is a 777 right now. The 747 will be doing ATL-HNL soon and ATL/DTW-AMS. It also does JFK-TLV I think too. The rest have been covered pretty well it looks like.

ATL-JNB is on a 777. Has been for the past couple of years since I've been here. Like @motormadness24 said, ATL-HNL and ATL-AMS will be starting up soon. I hear the ATL-AMS as soon as March for a few days, then again in the summer.

JFK-TLV is on a 777 now I believe.

Bummer, I flew from ATL to NRT in the 74- in 2010. AMSTERDAM? sounds like the first time in awhile a DL 747 will fly to Europe.

im taking the wife to Paris this summer on a 747. Sleep on the way there. Spend 2 days and fly back. Hopefully we get business class both ways. I've never flown on one so I'm super excited
