Okay everyone, after a long time of deciding, I have made a decision.
Currently I am trying to obtain my private pilot's license before the end of the summer. I have already solo'd in a DA-20, so I atleast have my foot in the door. In the fall, I will go to Georgia Tech so I can earn a Bacholar's degree in Computer Engineering. I know that airlines usually require a 4 year degree, so I decided to get one that I could use in a downturn like after 9/11.
Then, I will transfer to Embry Riddle or a similar school for my master's degree. Graduate school for embry riddle is nearly half the price of price of undergrad, so I won't be in $250,000+ worth of debt like I would had i chosen to go straight to embry riddle. At embry riddle, I will receive my commercial pilots license and obtain good contacts at the same time. At the end of 6 years, I will have a master's degree and a commercial license. Although it takes a bit longer than other direct pathes, this one provides me with better job security and is cheaper than most methods I have viewed. It maybe possible to get a job after tech and pay for training as I go, but so far I am going with what I said before.
I want to thank everyone for helping me. I believe I made the best decision I could.
