I am going to relocate to Florida from CA. I am looking for a quality school, Academy or University type. I am curious to hear from presently or previously employed CFI's about some of the schools. I am leaning toward a good school which will look good on a resume.
I am presently employed at a smaller school in CA. I want to work at one other school to help round-out my experience before moving on.
I have all my ratings with 800 hrs. TT, 500+ Dual, & 90 ME.

Florida is a big state, where are you looking to relocate? That little tid-bit might help those who answer:bandit:

I am going to move where I can get the best job. I don't have any connections there. I have simply decided I want to live in Florida for a while. That may sound odd. But, I got into aviation for the fun and adventure.

Embry Riddle is what I am leaning tword when I get my ratings. The offer benefits and free tuition for Under and Graduate degrees. I do not however know how the pay is. Plus your in Daytona Beach...

Contact Jennifer Maynard at Delta Connection Academy. CFI qualified instructors can make a good buck there now and you will get flight benefits on Delta after 30 days of employment. They are flying brand new CIRRUS SR-20's and have a nice facility. PM me if you have any questions.

Epic Aviation in New Smyrna Beach is a descent place. Been there, done that. C172s and Da42 used. They're training Indians now so there's guaranteed students and they offer benefits. The area is nice and the cost of living can be quite reasonable if you know where to look. Check out their website.
Btw, Daytona Beach is a hell hole.

Thanks Planediveguy,
They have SR-20's at DCA? A couple of them or exclusive? Do work you for them? I keep getting some conflicting reports in reference to DCA. It sounds as if the company does intend to stay in the game for the long haul. I put out a feeler and have received a reply back from Paul Mauro. The "Standz" program doesn't sound like a piece of cake. But, that is what I am looking for. I'm not a young guy and I will not wait around for the easy routes.
Thanks for your reply,
Roy
