Someone I know is actively promoting a PFT operation and I can't say a thing about it. What should I do? You and your associates must have encountered such a conundrum previously.

Point them to JC and we can see about "educating" them.
 
i thought to get on APC you had to be affiliated with an airline already? in this case, sounds to me like it's someone that hasn't yet even taken courses.

Ahhh...I never heard that. But I'm just a mod there, so don't quote me. I can only say we have quite a few newbs that post there. I think there may be some rules that often get overlooked until one starts to cause trouble.

Not on the net(forums). I could be wrong... I think for my own good this thread needs to die, and if anyone is willing to come and be bait for them to offer the idea to you, so you can proceed to blast the idea out of the water...PM me.
 
Nah, the "CTJ" talks are a euphemism mostly. But you've got my digits so if he needs a voice to talk to, g'head and forward them.
 
Honestly, getting back to the "What Would Slushie Do?" (WWSD) I have a few observations...

First if you can't say anything about it then there really is little you can do but sit back and watch. I however think you can do something.

Second, if I PFT'd and got screwed I would be undeniably POd if there was someone standing idily by who had the knowledge that could have save me thousands.

Sometimes people don't have all the info of the good and the bad in this industry because they don't know where to start looking but their excitement carries them into the industry to a.) a pilot mill b.) FBO c.) PFT / PFJ
