Dean Blais leaves the Sioux

We're going to miss having a guy like him in charge. But he sure deserves to move on in his career, i bet he'll be an NHL head coach one day.

Be good for C-town in Ohio here. Those Blue Jackets need a good coach anyways and I'm sure he'll bring success to them.

wow, parise and blais gone. dunno if i'm gonna spring for season tix again this year

Both my roommates and I are actually glad that Blais is gone. I happen to think he hasn't be a great coach lately, infact not good at all.

He picks the worst goalies, changes who is on each line than any other coach I know, and to not win a championship the last two years with the talent they have.

I guarantee you they will go to the Frozen 4 next year and contend for the championship.

I think we'll still do well without him, I just wonder who they will get as a replacement.

Speaking of season tickets, I think some friends and I will camp out for them this year. For those of you that have done it in the past, is it a big deal to leave to go to a class or a flight if you leave some of your firends there to hold your place?

lol i mentioned to a friend that now that Blaise is gone we will be allowed to have goalies who are taller than 5' 7" again. You dont' ever see 5' 7" guys in the NHL.

I hate to bump an old thread/quote myself, but I was thinking about hockey today and wondering about this again. Surely somebody here has been a season ticket holder and can comment on the process of camping out for tickets.

camping out was cool, especially friday night. saturday it got pretty ridiculous with drunks and it was rainy/cold that night. friday was cool with everybody sitting around cooking on grills, drinking a few, power cords running to PS2s and laptops/DVD players. i had a great time.

speaking of leaving the sioux rumour has it that bochenski will be going to ottawa this season so we'll lose another one of our best scorers.

Cool, thanks for the info. I take it you guys got in line friday afternoon. I remember last year people starting to line up thursday about noon. I dont suspose its necessary to get there that early, judging from your replies.
