DCA Check Rides

I think I busted five or six and still got hired. I deserved all the unsat stagechecks I got. Had I figured out earlier that they are just lessons and not stressed about them so much I would have sat most of the ones I busted. What are your thoughts? With that kind of open ended question, I am guessing you have something to say. Say it.
 
Just trying to get an Idea of peoples thoughts on how check rides are performed and any problems that people at the academy are concerned with pertaining to the check pilots to dispell any rumors!! Thanks for yor positive repy it was appreciated!!!

I flew with check instructors, management, and FAA examiners that were supposedly 'tough to like.' Few of them were 'cake walks.' Many gave a VERY thorough ride. All were fair and good guys/gals. Don't believe the hype. Go out and fly like you are teaching the person in the other seat (you CFI applicants are). Relax, do your best, and have a little fun! Check pilots/examiners put their pants on the same way you do and really enjoy giving a SAT to a pilot to shows them a good ride.
 
I think I was fully introduced to the stage check in Insrument. I failed everyone and I failed 31 4 times.

I learned from every one of them. They want you to know what your doing from the that particular stage, before they let you go on to the next stage. There's no hidden agendas. Most of the check instructors are great people. It is all by the PTS, the Standz manual and the checklist, nothing else.
