DC pro X vs. DC pro X2

Hey everyone, Is there anyone who has flown with both headsets? I’m looking for a new headset and trying to figure out if the new DC pro X2 is any different from the DC pro X I bought in 2014. I tried the Bose pro flight 2 but couldn’t get with the head clamps and after a few hours the ear buds started getting annoying so back to DC I go. Sucks because the sound quality on the Bose is amazing.

I recently learned a cheat code to get the Pro X to do that! Now I feel dumb for covering the light with acars paper the last couple years.

Hold the Bluetooth button down before you press the power button, and don’t let go of the Bluetooth button until it flashes green once.

If you do decide to make the switch, I have a Pro X2 with the Airbus plug I will be looking to get rid of shortly. Probably just need new ear seals.

I've flown with three guys now who use the ProX2 and they love it. Our jet is loud AF at cruise and they seem to be fine. I'm still using my Zulus (and I tried the Bose Proflight2 and hated it) until I find something a little better that isn't an A20. I have wanted to love the A20 but I can't. The compact size and foldability of the X2 is appealing, and it's DC so it's indestructible.

I don’t think Zulus are TSOed if that matters at your shop.

I am considering these. I have Proflight 2s now but I am switching to the 737 and will need something comfortable for the entire flight now and not just to FL180...

The guy I flew with last week just told me about that. I got the older version so it wouldn’t do it anyway. I been flying around with flashing lights at 3am.

Yes

Hold down the power button and Bluetooth button until they turn yellow, then let go of the power button. Once the lights go out, let go of the Bluetooth button.

And I’m glad DC took note and made them able to be turned off. I do my part about being conscious of where I hang the remote which is all I can do.

You can turn off the flashing green on the original, not just the X2.
